I am all for providing children (and parents) a safer alternative to going home to home… I am not sure if other malls do this, but the Maine Mall always encouraged them to give out candy on Halloween. You will literally see thousands of parents and children walking around in their costumes. We have to make sure that we are not judging either way. Just as those who choose fall festivals should not judge those who trick-or-treat, so should those who trick-or-treat not judge those who choose not to. I use to envy my people who grew up within the Christian tradition. I thought they had it so good, being raised with good Christian values, go to all the youth meetings and trips, etc. But now I have realized that alot of that comes with some baggage and I am grateful to God that I do not carry any of that baggage… I don’t think I would be able to handle it if I did.

Yes, the Haunted Hayride in Gorham was just about the lamest thing ever. But I was like 20ish when I went on it.

For Halloween I prefer to give candy from the door. I reserve my trunk candy for everyday occasions.
