Because we’re afraid that he will?
I’m catching up on my reading, and just now saw this.
My answer: Because you can only be “for” us or “against” us, and God’s on our side, so if you’re against us, you’re against God, and therefore He will not, and cannot bless you.
At least that’s what I’ve been told by those who are in charge of this mess.
