Moderation is the Cause of the Alcohol Problem

The late Adrian Rogers said, “Moderation is not the cure for the liquor problem. Moderation is the cause of the liquor problem.” Rogers was only half right, moderation is not the cure for the liquor problem; Jesus is the cure for the liquor problem. Logically speaking, if moderation was taking place there would not be a liquor problem. However, Rogers’ point is clear, “becoming an alcoholic does not begin with the last drink, it always begins with the first.” Although, if Rogers is correct and moderation is the cause of the alcohol problem this would contradict Stein’s research (mentioned previously).
